Speeding the next mile...For you and your family.

Sitting at the table.  The closing table that is.
Late on a Friday afternoon-before a 3 day Labor Day weekend- is a fine time to close.
NO IT IS NOT!!!
Best time to close is the morning.
Can't happen like that all the time.
Last week:
Simultaneous Closings.
Not great for the stress level.
This one looked OK for a while.
The clock kept ticking.
One loan needed a signed HUD to fund.
One signed HUD... 3:42pm Friday afternoon.
FINALLY
Signed HUD in the hands of the lender.
GO!
I mean...calm Attorney says to me...
"I can't get to Johnston County to record this deed.  It will get done on Tuesday."
I look at her with tears in my eyes...
3 families are in limbo.
Sellers and Buyers of that house-
Buyers (who are the sellers of the original house) and the other Sellers-
All with trucks loaded and eager to use the 3 day weekend to move into their new homes.
I look that attorney in the eye and say "Can I try??"
She hands me a packet and says...
"GO!!!!!"
From Raleigh to Smithfield I GO!
Beach traffic clogging I40.
Tears in my eyes as I keep glancing at my clock.
The Registrar of Deeds...
Doors shut at 4:45pm
Back roads, prayers and hope.
I get there-but...  4:48pm
They wave me in.
I am shaking.  I have never done this.
Record a deed...not usually my job...
All I can think of is the families waiting in the driveways for the green light to go into their new homes.
The Registrar is delightful.  "No worries Honey."  We will get this done.
"Now run down the hall and pay the taxes.  They are not as nice as I am!!"
Sweating and shaking.
Paid.
Back to record!!
DONE.

I did this for these people.
I walked out the courthouse and the bell tower chimed 5pm.
I sat on the curb and cried.
Tears of joy, relief, pride and accomplishment.
It was a great day to sell a house and buy a home.
I can help you do just that.
I also have recorded a deed.
I can do that too!
go jill go
